Welcome
Ask a question as you would ask a friend: Inuki searches the web, reads the pages that matter and answers in a few clear lines, with its sources. It uses Apple's artificial intelligence, in Apple's Private Cloud Compute or directly on your device.
Getting started
- Tap a suggestion on the welcome screen, or type your question at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the orange arrow to send, or the microphone to dictate.
- Under the answer, expand “sources” to open the pages Inuki used.
The “+” button attaches a photo or a PDF document: ask for example “What flower is this?” or “Make me a shopping list for 6 people”.
Features
Sourced search
For news, weather, opening hours or prices, Inuki queries DuckDuckGo (and Wikipedia as a fallback), then cites its sources. Give it a web address and it reads the page for you.
Photos and documents
Inuki describes and analyzes your images, and reads your PDFs, including scanned documents.
History
Every conversation is saved on your device and titled automatically. Search, rename or delete it from the list (sidebar on iPad and Mac).
Siri and Shortcuts
Say “Ask Inuki”, or use the “Ask Inuki” action in the Shortcuts app.
Frequently asked questions
Why does an orange banner say “simple search mode”?
AI-written answers require a device that supports Apple Intelligence, with Apple Intelligence turned on (Settings › Apple Intelligence & Siri). Otherwise, Inuki shows search results as links. Tap “Try Again” after turning Apple Intelligence on.
What does “daily Private Cloud limit” mean?
Apple sets a daily usage limit for Private Cloud Compute, tied to your account. Once it is reached, Inuki answers with your device's model until the limit resets; the “Show Options” button presents Apple's offers to raise it.
Which model answered?
It is shown under each answer: “Apple Private Cloud” or “On Device”. The menu at the top right summarizes the status of both models and offers “Deep Thinking” for complex questions.
Privacy
